This workshop will take you through a series of lessons developed to boost middle school students’ love and success in math, specifically geometry. Toni Duncan has developed and fine-tuned a dance unit that focuses on angles, triangles, circles, diameters and circumferences. The concepts are supported and enriched by artistic experiences. Pre- and post-tests support her observation that the students get it! Come get it for yourself!

Toni Duncan has been a dance faculty member at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School’s Center for Performing and Fine Arts since 2011. She earned her MA in Dance Education from the University of Northern Colorado and holds a BA in Dance and a BS in Marketing from DeSales University. She has taught at Feet First Dance Center in Phoenixville since 1999. Toni enjoys integrating dance with academic subjects, form math to poetry.
