We are seeking feature-length work and “Shorts” (20 minutes and under) for screening in Philadelphia Dance Projects’ Motion Pictures annual presentation of dance on film and video. Highlighting the power of image and motion in both dance and film, the programs feature experimental and innovative shorts, documentaries, “moc”umentaries, and animations by local, national, and international artists. Through the years, Motion Pictures has screened documentaries on Pina Bausch, Maya Deren, Carmen Amaya, Geoffrey Holder and Carmen DeLavallade, Mark Morris and the Paris Opera Ballet along with imaginative ground breaking work by Pooh Kaye, Hilary Harris, and Lloyd Newson among many others.
Submission deadline is February 25, 2013 (postmark)
Entrants will be notified of acceptance no later than March 15, 2013
